Yes, every lodge room and condominium has a view of the lake and mountains.
Check in time is 4:00 PM. Should your room be ready earlier we will be happy to get you into your room sooner. If your room is not ready earlier you may use the pool / hot tub and beach and enjoy a cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate from our guest lounge. The pool is open seasonally from May to October. Check out is 11:00 AM
The outdoor heated swimming pool is open seasonally May to October and closed November to April. The outdoor hot tub is open year round from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The beach is always available, however at times of the year snow may cover the sand (time to build a snowman instead of a sand castle). We do provide pool towels for our guests.
We are not pet friendly.
Breakfast is not provided. We offer a simple continental breakfast during the ski season (end of November to end of March) that includes muffins, danishes, whole fruit, juice, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. For full hot breakfast options, Heidi’s Pancake House is the closest, located in the shared parking lot area before the hotel. Our staff is also happy to recommend other locations nearby for breakfast.
We do not have a restaurant and bar located on property. There are numerous restaurant and bar options that are within walking distance of the hotel and our staff is happy to share their favorites with you or recommend restaurants based on what type of food you are craving. Did you know that South Lake Tahoe has several breweries and craft beer locations, two are in easy walking distance from the hotel.
The pool area has lounge and pool chairs available. We offer beach chairs and beach lounges available to rent daily. Beach chairs are $5 per chair and the beach loungers are $10 per day. They are available through the front desk on a first come availability. You certainly may bring your own beach chairs to use on the beach. We do not provide umbrellas, you may bring your own. We do ask that umbrellas or sun tents be taken down in the evening and chairs removed from the beach so that our staff may clean the beach.
The hotel has a communal BBQ area with 8 BBQ’s and picnic tables. They are available on first availability and open typically mid April to end of October. We do close the BBQ’s for the winter season. You will need to provide the charcoal and your preferred meat to grill. We cannot allow any portable BBQ’s on the beach or on any of the hotel or condominium decks, this would create a fire hazard.
Yes, the hotel has roll-a-way beds available for $10 per night, these are also on a first reserve availability. We offer portable pac-n-play cribs for babies at no charge. These are also available on a first reserve availability. Please understand that certain room types have a maximum occupancy and may not have additional beds placed into the rooms.
The hotel and condominiums do not have air conditioning. The Tahoe climate generally does not have many extreme warm days / nights, for those few days we do offer fans for your rooms.
Yes, all lodge rooms have a gas fire place and the condominiums have wood burning fireplaces. We sell Duraflame logs for those at the front desk or you may provide your own.
Yes, we have several lodge rooms available with kitchens and all the condominiums have kitchens. Kitchens include a refrigerator, stove / oven, microwave, coffeemake, toaster and your standard essentials such as plates, utensils, pots, pans and glassware. They are stocked to accommodate the size that the room type is for.
Winter snow conditions can pop up any time of year, although not very common June through October. If your vehicle is not 4-wheel drive with snow tires then most likely yes you should have chains for the vehicle, especially during the winter months. We recommend that you check Caltrans Road Conditions website for the most current road conditions. Our staff cannot advise you on whether it is safe or not to travel.
We are so lucky to have several world class ski resort located close to South Lake Tahoe. The closest resort is Heavenly Mountain Resort. Also located on the south end of the lake are Sierra At Tahoe and Kirkwood Mountain Resort. To the west and north side of the lake you will find Homewood Ski Resort and Squaw Valley & Alpine Ski Resort.
Yes, Elements Spa is located in the hotel. We do recommend to contact the spa in advance for appointments, they are also happy to accommodate appointments day of based on their availability. Hotel guests receive a special discount at the spa.
We recommend you check the local forecast for the most up to date info, weather can change very quickly in the mountains. Summer months (June-August) we typically experience the warmest months in Tahoe, highs may be in the 80’s and lows in the 60’s. Summer may experience an occasional cooler night or day, light sweaters and jackets are always good to have packed. The fall (September-October), we still experience typically warm weather (highs in 70’s and lows may now be in the 30’s and 40’s), nights and mornings begin to cool off more, warmer clothes and summer clothes are suggested. The winter (November-March) will be cold (range for highs in the 50’s to lows sometime in the teens), some days with snow and sleet. Winter clothes are typically recommended which should include water proof snow boots, snow pants and jackets, hats and gloves. Layers are always good. Sunscreen is usually needed year round in the mountains of Tahoe. There are numerous stores in Lake Tahoe where you will find clothing for any season of the year in the event you do not have the right clothes.
Oh my…let’s see. You can swim in a lake, take a boat ride, go for a hike, rent bikes, go fishing, rent kayaks & stand up paddleboards, see a movie, watch a magic show, ride a zip line, play golf, play miniature golf, play in the sand, build a sand castle, play in the snow, build a snowman, go skiing or snowboarding, learn to ski or snowboard, go snowmobiling, go snow shoeing, go cross country skiing, go sledding, go beer tasting, eat and eat and eat, relax in the sun, watch the sunrise, watch the sunset, go to a concert or simply unwind and do nothing at all. Our staff will be more than happy to provide you with their favorites when you arrive.
Yes the hotel also provides complimentary Wi-Fi and will provide the information at check in.
No, parking is complimentary for all hotel guests. We do provide a parking pass that is given at check in to place in your vehicle.
