Located on the south shore of Lake Tahoe, Heavenly Mountain Resort is a summer recreational playground mecca. Located just one mile from the hotel an entire day can be spent exploring on Heavenly Mountain. You begin with a 2.4 mile scenic ride up in the Heavenly Mountain Gondola, a stop at the observation deck lets you take in panoramic views of Lake Tahoe before you continue on to the top station of the gondola. Once you exit you enter into their mountain adventure land base. The hardest part will be trying to decide what to participate in first. Cycling enthusiast love Lake Tahoe for the diverse terrain options available. Exciting mountain trails from beginner to advanced can be accessed on the south and north end of the lake. Kirkwood Mountain Biking and Northstar Mountain Biking offer lift access trails for exhilarating downhill mountain biking.
